Still… doing… nothing.
It’s surprisingly hard to sit and do nothing for so long.
I’m still in “don’t move much” mode, and definitely sick of it. Apart from one night the week I got back from Italy, I haven’t played racquetball in almost two months. No soccer games in two months either. The last twelve days have consisted of sitting on the couch downstairs, popping pills, sleeping really funky hours, and working on an assortment of freelance/personal web projects.
I made it out to a few movies, “Four Christmases,” “Marley and Me,” and “Yes Man!” I’d say they were all good, and at least worth going to see at some point. “Four Christmases” is good for any Vince Vaughn fan, “Marley and Me” is good for a date and any dog/animal lover, (or if you love Jen Aniston or Owen Wilson haha) and “Yes Man” is finally a comeback of the classic Jim Carrey we know and love.
With all my time to do nothing but sit here, I’ve made significant progress on a few projects… I’ll soon post the finished sites, but if you want the ‘almost done’ sneak preview of Ageless Beauty Makeup, head over to the test site.
Also I’m working on a portfolio site for a pretty well-known Motion Graphics Artist / Creative Director. She has some pretty impressive work, so it’s a pretty cool deal to be creating her portfolio/demo reel site.
The last week has brought me leaps and bounds further in progress with www.stayvalid.com , but I’m afraid that must continue to remain under wraps until I release the beta version of the software. If you want more information about it, or care about creating/maintaining valid XHTML code, then shoot me an email and I’ll give you some more information.

I’m defiintely fed up with hearing about Global Warming. You could say I’m definitely on the ‘not a believer’ side when it comes to this uproar. There is just too much information completely disagreeing with everyone’s worries and strife.
We spent 2002-2007 being served complete libraries of theories and conjured information blaming the human race for this supposed rise in earth’s temperature, glacial retreats, water shortages, and disintegrating ozone layer.
According to Telegraph’s Chris Booker, 2008 was the year that Global Warming was disproved. Read this article for more details.
Yes I’m sure there’s just as many ‘facts’ proving as there are disproving Global Warming, but in this case I say we are innocent until proven guilty in having too much of a hand in destroying the earth we inhabit.

So after 14 years of coaching, the Bronco’s head coach Mike Shanahan was fired. There was a good sized list of coaches who lost their jobs at the close of this season, and it may prove a good thing for the NFL. Get some new faces in there and see what happens. Some of these guys have been around for so long they get some sort of seniority as the head coach, even regardless of how well the team is doing. As much as I like Mike Shanahan as the Bronco’s head coach, they’ve only won one playoff game since winning back-to-back Super Bowls for the 1997-98 seasons, and there is so much skill and potential in the players on the team right now, maybe it is time for a shakeup in the administration of the team.

I’m somewhat excited about New Year’s Eve this year, apparently Kristi and I have a nifty little shindig to attend. The son of the owner of the local music shop Matanuska Music has a New Year’s Eve party every year, and they take a disfunctioning grand piano, fill it with fireworks and/or gasoline, then light it and shoot roman candles at it until it blows.
Awesome.

So props to you Desirai, for making the front page of Digg with the “First Ever Halo Wedding.” I would normally care less about something like this, but it’s kinda cool because Desirai was a classmate and friend of mine at Full Sail. Full Sail is also backing the wedding, apparently making it part of some gaming convention they’re putting on. Cool beans!

I’m a bit under the drugs still right now, sadly they’re nowhere near as strong as I’d like, but they still make me kinda ‘blah’ every once in a while, and make me stay up late and sleep in late and just mess with me a little. Regardless, I don’t have the gumption to close out this post in my proper ‘information-supplying’ way, so I’ll leave you with merely a helpful and gorgeous site to check out, based upon managing every aspect of your personal finances online. (Also has an iPhone application version as well, very cool!)
Beautiful Site

I love this site. You can check balances, budgets, transactions, and investments anywhere, all from one central location. It tells you what you’re spending your money on, what percent is going where, and what you can do to spend less on things that you may be paying too much for. Of course it’s highly secure and safe, and is just a great tool for personal financial management. Check it out!
